SMTP
Settings of the SMTP server which is used for outgoing e-mail notifications.
Server | Url of the SMTP server |
Port | Port |
E-Mail address | E-Mail address for outgoing e-mails |
Username | Username for authentication with the SMTP server |
Password | Password for authentication with the SMTP server |
Authentication | If enabled, authentication with username and password will be used |
HTML format | If enabled, s.GUARD will send e-mails as html mails If disabled, s.GUARD will send e-mails as plain text |
Sender's name | Name which will be used as sender information for outgoing e-mails |
POP
Settings of the POP server which is used for incoming e-mails.
Server | Url of the POP server |
Port | Port |
Username | Username for authentication with the POP server |
Password | Password for authentication with the POP server |
Status | If enabled, reception of incoming mail via POP is active |
Check Interval (sec.) | Interval defining how often the mailbox is checked |
Email (SendGrid)
Status | If enabled, incoming e-mails via SendGrid can be used |
E-Mail address to which inbound mails can be sent for activation of episodes via e-mail (see event configuration) |
Phone settings
Outbound Voice | This number will be used as outbound phone number for text to speech voice calls and conference calls. It has to be specified in international format without spaces e.g., +19701234567 |

Outbound SMS (Alphanumeric) | Alternatively to using a phone number for outgoing SMS notifications, an alphanumeric name can be used. This will displayed as sender for the SMS notifications. |
Phone call / Conference call settings

Answering Machine Detector | If enabled, it is attempted to automatically detect if the phone is answered by a person or by an answering machine. If the detection algorithm determines that the call has been answered by a machine, the call is terminated automatically. Note: consider activating the option carefully. It cannot be guaranteed that the detection algorithm always yields a correct result, thus enabling this setting creates a risk of terminating calls after being answered by a person. |
