Conditional groups are used to create a group with a dynamic user list, rather than assigning users statically by their name.

The conditional groups define the conditions (like custom properties or location information) which must be met to be included in the group.

The following settings can be specified for each conditional group:

Condition Name

Name of the conditional group

Add Condition

On clicking the "Add Condition" button, an additional condition is added to the conditional group.

Note: if more than one condition exists for a conditional group, all of them must be fulfilled for the user to be added to the group (AND relation).

Preview

On clicking the "Preview" button, a list of all users which currently fulfill the conditions will be displayed.

User Property

The criterion for the condition:

Role - role of the user (responsible user, admin, tenant, user)

Business role - function of the user in the company / institution as defined in the User Settings

Channel - the communication channel to be used

Perimeter - if the user falls into a perimeter defined by GPS, BLE location or IP range of his computer

Additionally, all custom properties which are defined for the tenant are available als criterion.

Operator

The operator which is used to compare the content of the User Property to the defined Value:

EQUALS - The string value of the property must exactly match the Value

NOT EQUALS - The string value of the property does not match exactly the Value

LIKE - The Value must be contained in the value of the property (substring match)

NOT LIKE - The Value may not be contained in the value of the property (substring match)

Note: Only User Properties which are string values offer all operators. Other types of user property (e.g. Perimeter) only offer the EQUALS operator.

Value

Value which is compared against the User Property.

This may either be a freetext, or a selection list.
