There are several ways to add user data to s.GUARD:
- Manual creation of users (Breadcrumbs: Users > Add):
Add single users – recommended process to add and manage a small number of users. - Manual user file import (Breadcrumbs: Users > Import > Import):
Import – recommended process for creating a big amount of new users. Existing user data will not be modified or deleted when using the import method.
Supported file formats are csv, xlsx, xml and text. - Manual user sync (Breadcrumbs: Users > Import > Sync):
Sync – recommended process to add, edit and delete users based on a file on a local machine. The manual sync can be triggered by an admin.
Supported file formats are csv, xlsx, xml and text.
If a user exists in the file, but not in s.GUARD, a new user will be created.
If a user exists in s.GUARD, but not in the file, it will be deleted from s.GUARD.
If a user exists in the file and in s.GUARD, the user will be adapted to match the file in case of any changes.
A file without any entry will delete all users from s.GUARD.
